Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a site, ensuring efficient vehicle processing, storage, fleet fitment, distribution, and delivery to meet customer and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities include managing daily operational and employee issues while fostering a high-performance team culture. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, team management, and people development skills with experience in logistics and automotive industry knowledge being desirable.

The Site Operations Manager will be accountable for maintaining freight carrier relationships, managing site facilities, and optimizing site utilization and lease arrangements. This role requires sound mechanical knowledge, OHS experience in industrial environments, and solid computer skills for operational efficiency.

A successful Site Operations Manager will drive continuous improvement, ensure ISO and safety compliance, and meet site financial and OHS targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operational and employee issues.
  • Foster a high-performance team culture.
  • Maintain freight carrier relationships.
  • Optimize site utilization and lease arrangements.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' management experience in a medium-sized P&L business.
  • Strong background in logistics and/or automotive industry knowledge.
  • Holds a full driver's license and tertiary qualifications in transport, mechanical, automotive logistics, or supply chain are an advantage.
