About the Role


The Senior Policy Officer is a key member of the National Policy Reform team, responsible for developing and reviewing strategic national and state policy and advice for government and non-government schools and post-secondary education.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and review high-level policy options, advising on effective decision-making for the Department.
  • Undertake high-level research, including scoping policy proposals and developing policy options.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve quality outcomes for NSW.


Requirements



  • High level organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, work well under pressure, and organise own work to meet competing and tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's and upholding the and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
