About the Health Principal Role

This leadership position is responsible for providing expert guidance and coaching to health specialists in complex injury, illness case management, return to work, rehabilitation and workers compensation processes.

The successful candidate will lead risk and data-led proactive health and wellbeing programs, manage our health, hygiene and wellbeing risk through effective control ownership, design and performance.

They will also be involved in global health initiatives and industry workshops, partnering with Occupational Hygiene to provide high-level technical advice to reduce workplace exposures.

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline - ideally with APHRA or ESSA or similarly related registration – OHS, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, human movements, ergonomics, human factors
  • Minimum of five years' experience working in a large complex environment ideally within mining or heavy industry
  • Effective project management skills (strong verbal and written communication skills) are essential, with the capability to effectively engage and coach at all levels of the organisation
  • Relevant experience in systemic management of Occupational Health and partnering with Occupational Hygiene in a substantial business
  • Working knowledge of both Queensland workers compensation and Queensland mining health and safety legislation is required
