Responsibilities:

Provide guidance and information regarding drilling and blasting schedules and plans to Shift Supervisors and Foreman.

  • Develop accurate and achievable plans for drilling and blasting activities that meet target schedules.
  • Monitor production activities within the mine to identify areas for improvement in designs and productivities.
  • Conduct stope performance assessments for each stope and analyze results to ensure continuous improvement in drilling and blasting plans, designs, and controls.
  • Create stope designs to maximize economic extraction of geological stope shapes using available equipment and manpower resources.
  • Prepare summarized stope notes and stope reconciliations within one month after practical completion of stoping.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proficient user of Deswik packages (UGDB).
  • Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or related field.
  • Practical underground experience.
