Podiatrist Job Summary

A highly skilled and dedicated Podiatrist is required to deliver exceptional foot care services in a dynamic aged care environment. As the lead Podiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a diverse range of patients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose patients with foot and ankle disorders through physical examination and diagnostic imaging techniques.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that may include footwear recommendations, orthotic fittings, wound care, and surgical interventions as needed.
  • Provide comprehensive patient education on proper foot care, prevention of conditions, and maintenance of overall foot health.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation for effective case management.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Stay current with advancements in podiatry and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine or Bachelor of Podiatry degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Podiatrist, preferably in a similar aged care setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and extensive knowledge of podiatric medicine, including diagnosis and treatment protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, prioritizing patient needs and delivering high-quality care.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences.
