Job Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced professional to fill a new role as the Health & Safety Advisor - Systems. This position will assist in the Programs, Systems, and Initiatives space, reporting to DT Infrastructure's National HSE Systems and Governance Manager. This role is based in Brisbane QLD with some travel required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business unit operations and management to ensure compliance with FSC, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and legislative requirements.
  • Assist the IMS program to enhance compliance, assurance, and reporting processes to IMS improvement.
  • Assist in undertaking audits in accordance with DTI HSE IMS, and where applicable, client requirements.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers through the return to work and injury management processes while liaising with internal/external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree in Health, Safety & Environment, Business, or a similar discipline preferred.
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessing, Quality/Safety Lead Internal Auditor, Lead ICAM Incident Investigation, and Return to Work Coordinator certificate or experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable statutory provisions across multiple jurisdictions, FSC, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, and Rail Safety National Law.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing IMS documentation, conducting audits, and preparation of corrective actions and reports.
  • Experience in the preparation and delivery of various HSE Awareness or Training Programs.
  • Ability to prepare management and data analysis reports, consult with operations, and consolidate findings.
  • Able to evaluate information quickly, identifying key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgment, experience, and common sense.
