Compliance Professional - Regulatory Risk

We are seeking a seasoned compliance professional to bolster our risk and compliance capability.

This pivotal role requires working with us to create a future-ready ecosystem where colleagues feel supported to step up and speak up.

We're looking for individuals who care about doing what's right and want to shape the next chapter of risk and compliance.

You will report directly to the Senior Manager, responsible for developing and implementing compliance frameworks, policies, tools, systems, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures to effectively manage compliance risks.
  • Provide expert advisory services on regulatory requirements, ensuring we operate in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive compliance assessments of incidents and breaches, supporting regulatory breach assessment processes.
  • Present compliance assessments to stakeholders and forums as required, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Support governance of forums such as the Significant Incident Review Panel, preparing documentation, minutes, and reports.
  • Prepare reporting to regulators in respect of investigations, breaches, and responding to regulatory requests for information.
Requirements:
  • Experienced compliance or legal professional with exposure in regulatory compliance, incident, and breach management.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory obligations, particularly superannuation, investments, administration, advice, and insurance broking.
  • Ability to rapidly analyse and communicate complex matters in a commercially sensible way.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
