About the Role

As a member of our research team, you will contribute to the development of new drugs, vaccines, and personal protective measures to combat malaria and other vector-borne diseases. You will work closely with military officers and public servants to design and implement research studies, collect and analyze data, and provide technical advice to inform decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on malaria and other vector-borne diseases, including the development of new treatments and diagnostic tools
  • Collaborate with international partners to share knowledge and best practices in infectious disease research
  • Provide technical advice to inform decision-making on disease prevention and control
  • Contribute to the development of research protocols and study designs
  • Collect and analyze data to inform research findings and recommendations
Working Environment

As a Medical Scientist (Research) with the Australian Defence Force, you will work in a dynamic and challenging environment that requires adaptability and flexibility. You will be based in a range of locations, including climate-controlled facilities and mobile deployed health capabilities.
