Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Developmental Educator to join our interdisciplinary team at Everyday Independence. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments using our LEAD evidence-based assessment tool to identify participant needs and develop personalized support plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide wrap-around support services, ensuring participants receive the best possible outcomes.
- Provide person-centered support and planning to help participants envision a life full of positive experiences and opportunities.
- Develop strong relationships with participants, their families, and support teams to ensure seamless support delivery.
- Participate in peer group supervision and mentoring to enhance expertise and skills.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor or Masters of Disability (or equivalent) and be eligible to be a member of the DEAI (Membership required upon commencement).
- Be passionate about removing barriers using the social model of therapy and have a strong advocacy for inclusion.
- Hold a valid drivers license and be able to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children's Check.
