Director of Nursing Academics

The School of Nursing is seeking a highly experienced academic leader to take on the role of Head of School, driving transformational change and fostering a distinct school identity.
This key position within the Dean's leadership team will contribute to the future direction of our faculty, promoting research excellence and cultivating a collaborative and innovative environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in academic leadership, staff management, and change management, with significant experience in leading research initiatives and securing grant funding.
They will also possess a proven ability to cultivate strong partnerships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
The successful candidate will be recognised as a positive, encouraging, and culturally capable leader who champions inclusivity and diversity, and is committed to creativity and innovation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to strategic planning and financial management
- Champion equity and commit to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
- Ensure effective delivery of faculty-wide goals
- Lead and manage the School of Nursing, ensuring operational excellence and a cohesive environment celebrating achievement of school status
