Rehabilitation Specialist - Aged Mental Health

The role of a Rehabilitation Specialist in Aged Mental Health is to provide support and care to individuals with mental health conditions. This includes working closely with residents at The Greenhouse, a 24-hour facility that offers residential rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing residents' mental health needs and developing individualized care plans.
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to residents and their families.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Developing and implementing programs to enhance residents' physical and mental well-being.
  • Documenting resident progress and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a registered nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A current driver's licence.
  • Post-registration experience in inpatient or residential rehabilitation settings.
  • Demonstrable record of safe and appropriate clinical practice.
  • Comprehensive understanding of key aspects of Mental Health Act.
