Job Title: Mental Health Specialist Lead

The organization is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist Lead to join our team. This individual will provide psychiatric services to the Adult Rehabilitation stream and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program as directed.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will work closely with the Manager/Team Leader to maintain high standards of service within a comprehensive clinical governance framework, focusing on excellence, safety, care, staff performance, cost efficiency, research and education.
  • This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional looking to develop their skills in mental health specialist services, including forensic services, family violence specialists, social and emotional wellbeing teams, families where a parent has a mental illness (FaPMI) team, and personality disorder clinical specialists.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychiatric services to the Adult Rehabilitation stream and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program as required.
  • Collaborate with the Manager/Team Leader to develop and implement effective clinical governance frameworks that ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding results in mental health specialist services.

Requirements:

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification.
  • Degree in Psychiatry or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in mental health settings, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in psychiatry or a related field.
