Gold Tiger Logistics Solutions (Gold Tiger), a reputable logistics company founded in 2006, is seeking skilled Heavy Duty Truck Technicians to join its team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs and servicing vehicles as per repair order instructions within the service department. They will promote customer satisfaction to the required dealer standards and oversee the work of any apprentice technicians assigned to them.

  • Two full-time positions are available.
  • The annual salary for this role is between $65,000 and $90,000.
  • The position is located in New South Wales.
The Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Performing work as per the repair order instructions
  • Advising the workshop foreman of any additional work required
  • Documenting all work performed, including cause and correction, and recommending any work not carried out during service and repair
  • Ensuring that customer vehicles are left in their original condition, including cleanliness and adjustments to seat, radio, Bluetooth, and mirror settings
  • Supervising any assigned apprentices
  • Aptly operating all tools and equipment, adhering to safety training, and reporting any safety or equipment issues to management
  • Communicating with the parts department to obtain necessary parts
  • Attending dealership and service department meetings and online training sessions as requested
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workshop area and being able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a trade certificate relevant to heavy vehicle mechanics
  • Possess a valid driver's license for car, light-duty, truck, and agricultural vehicles
  • Have technical knowledge aligned with qualification specifications
  • Display excellent customer service skills, committed to providing exceptional service across various channels
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, varying style according to the audience
  • Show attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others
  • Be willing to assist and support team members as needed
  • Able to manage time effectively and accomplish objectives within given timeframes
