Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our project's mechanical aspects. This role involves conducting field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating mechanical components and processes to ensure the unique requirements of a project are met.

This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to resolve technical issues. You will also be involved in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard mechanical engineering methods and techniques.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate and apply standard mechanical engineering methods and techniques to support global business units or staff groups.
  2. Design, develop, modify, and evaluate mechanical components and processes using relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs) and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
  3. Prepare conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals as required.
  4. Coordinate mechanical engineering efforts with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, contractors, construction, and other functional groups.
  5. Provide guidance to other mechanical engineering personnel when delegated.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree or international equivalent, combined with 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computers in the discipline, as well as engineering work planning and control methods.
  • Computer skills, including competence in MS Office suite and other common software.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for individual and team tasks.
  • Analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication.
