The Clinical Trials Team Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operationalization of cancer clinical trials within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.

Reporting to the Clinical Trials Manager, this position provides expert knowledge and high-quality expertise to support the delivery and conduct of clinical trials throughout their lifecycle.

This senior leadership position oversees the day-to-day management of the unit, including supervision and line management of trial staff, as well as assisting with financial management of the clinical trial service.

In this key role, you will provide education, clinical skills knowledge development, quality conduct of clinical trials, and ensure compliance with relevant legal, ethical, and regulatory guidelines.

You will also be responsible for supporting the specialist care of trial participants, ensuring a safe and efficient care pathway.

This is a temporary parental leave relief position until 15 March 2026, with the possibility of an extension at same or reduced hours.
