Explosive Detection and Maintenance Specialist

This role is responsible for assisting experienced engineers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of explosive detection systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist engineers in meeting daily service needs, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order, assist with installations and repairs as needed.
  • Accurately document all inspections, maintenance, and repair work, submitting reports in a timely manner.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, ordering and returning parts as required.
  • Ensure that tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Monitor product performance based on field support data.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with engineers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Exercise cost control measures to minimize expenses wherever possible.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Electrical Machine Repair or equivalent qualification.
  • No prior experience necessary; some formal work experience desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to travel at short notice and be available for on-call duties.
