Perioperative Nursing Career Opportunities

We are seeking an experienced Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our dynamic nursing team at Campbelltown Private Hospital.

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent clinical outcomes.

Job Description:

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering evidence-based perioperative nursing care, with a focus on patient safety, dignity, and comfort. You will be responsible for undertaking perioperative nursing care in accordance with legislation, liaising with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring patient and staff safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Ensure patient and staff safety
  • Supervise, direct, and guide nursing team members to deliver patient care
  • Assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual/patient
  • Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely, and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology

Requirements:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • 18 months' minimum experience as an RN – Scrub Scout
  • Proven experience in Orthopaedic Perioperative lists
  • Valid NSW Working with Children check for Employment
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • BASIC computer skills
