Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Perioperative Nurse to join our hospital team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

About Our Hospital:

Our private hospital is a state-of-the-art medical facility located in Sydney. The hospital features modern facilities including 8 operating theatres, 48 surgical beds, 15 bed day surgery unit, and 34 bed rehabilitation unit.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Deliver evidence-based patient care
  • Maintain effective communication with the multidisciplinary team
  • Ensure patient and staff safety at all times
  • Supervise and direct nursing team members to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Conduct proactive assessments of operative nursing care to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Document patient information accurately, concisely, and timely using standard abbreviations and terminology
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 18 months experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Proven experience in orthopaedic perioperative settings
  • Valid New South Wales Working with Children check for employment purposes
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
  • Compliance with national standards for quality healthcare
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well independently and within a collaborative team environment
  • Basic computer skills
