About the Role

This position involves conducting surveys and vessel inspections in a remote Pilbara coastal town in Western Australia. A FIFO from Perth option is available. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and discharge inspections of marine vessels, maintaining and calibrating measuring equipment, and ensuring job safety analyses are completed.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting surveys and vessel inspections
  • Maintaining and calibrating measuring equipment
  • Ensuring job safety analyses are completed
  • Preparing reports and invoices
  • Liaising with clients, shipping agents, and vessel staff

Requirements

To succeed in this role, applicants must have a Master Class 1 Certificate of Competency, dry bulk vessel inspection and survey experience, and the ability to perform manual handling and work at heights.

  • Able to work outdoors during adverse weather conditions
  • Sufficiently high tolerance for job presence and flexibility to work long hours
  • A solid understanding of MS Office suite and company-nominated calculation programs
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Sensitivity to handle confidential information
  • Evidence of their right to work in Australia
