Construction Permit Specialist for North East Link Project

We are seeking an experienced Construction Permit Specialist to join our team on the North East Link project in Melbourne, Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively managing the permit-to-work procedure and ensuring compliance across the project.

Key Responsibilities:- Complete and maintain permit workflows in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure the Permit to Work procedure meets relevant safety KPIs in accordance with project objectives.
- Coordinate with engineers and project managers to prepare and submit permits.
- Receive and process permit applications.
- Conduct site walks with requesting engineers and work supervisors prior to issuing permits.
- Maintain the Permit register and Records management system.
- Attend zone coordination meetings to discuss and manage SIMOPS issues.
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or mining industry.
- Proficient level of knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office Systems.
- Hold MSMWHS217, MSMWHS201, and MSMPER300 certifications.
- Prior experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor is highly desirable.
- A team player with a strong work ethic and ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attitude towards Safety and the ability to identify and resolve issues.
- An estimated salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
