
Paediatric Child Development Assistant

Job Description:
As a Child Development Assistant, you will work alongside Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists to deliver therapy sessions and activities under their guidance. Your primary role will be to assist in the delivery of evidence-based paediatric therapy programs, focusing on child development and growth.
Key responsibilities include supporting clinical operations, such as scheduling appointments and coordinating practice hub activities. You will collaborate with clinicians to co-design and implement therapy plans tailored to each child's unique needs and goals. Additionally, you will assist in drafting reports, progress notes, and preparing therapy materials, as well as supporting clinicians in conducting assessments and observations for new clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 4th-year Occupational Therapy student with Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including working with families
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of therapeutic interventions in paediatric Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy
- Readiness to learn and work with digital productivity tools
