About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head of Learning - Science to join our team at Penola Catholic College. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide support to teachers within the Science Learning Areas and work collaboratively with the HOL Glenroy to ensure the establishment of explicit high standards for learning in the Science learning area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support to teachers within the Science Learning Areas
  • Work collaboratively with the HOL Glenroy to establish high standards for learning in the Science learning area
  • Implement best teaching practice and learning programs that meet the needs of every learner
  • Manage resources to improve student learning outcomes
  • Provide direction and guidance to the Science team members
Requirements
  • Passion for learning and commitment to Catholic education
  • Excellent classroom teaching skills and ability to model contemporary teaching practice
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian curriculum frameworks
  • Ability to provide leadership that is characterised by a desire for continuous improvement, lateral thinking and innovation
  • Registration with VIT
