Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and qualified MPU Operator to join our team, reporting directly to the Area Operations Supervisor. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate an Open Cut Mobile Production Unit (MPU) safely and efficiently, ensuring the delivery of high-quality emulsion-based explosives for blasting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the MPU machinery effectively to manufacture explosives in a safe manner.
- Deliver emulsion-based explosives in accordance with the contracted services at various sites.
- Perform basic maintenance on all equipment utilized on-site.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately and timely.
What You Will Bring
The ideal candidate will possess operational experience as a qualified MPU Operator or have demonstrated experience in equipment operation on an active blast bench. Additionally, the following qualifications are essential:
- A commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and high-performance work culture.
- Possession of a Qld HR Driver's License (Essential) - Open or B Condition.
- Standard 11/Qld Security Clearance Card/Forklift (HRWL) Licence (desirable).
- RII Qualification in Mobile Mixing Explosives.
- Strong communication skills and a supportive team-oriented attitude.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and the ability to learn site-specific software.
