Solid Waste Collection Specialist

As a key member of our waste management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Transforming Boroondara Program as a Solid Waste Collection Specialist. This role involves operating side and rear loading compaction vehicles, interacting with the public, and maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating heavy rigid or heavy combination vehicles
- Collecting and transporting solid waste to designated facilities
- Maintaining accurate records of daily collections
- Providing excellent customer service to members of the public
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence
- Prior experience driving heavy vehicles, particularly side and rear loading compaction vehicles
- Precision driving skills and a strong focus on safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
