Financial Advisor Job Description

The role of a Financial Advisor involves providing expert advice on specific products to allocated customers, driving results through individual efforts.

Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality customer service, identifying opportunities for new business or retention, and analyzing complex problems to find optimal solutions.

Additionally, the Financial Advisor will receive visitors, assist with requests for information, and refer complex matters to colleagues when necessary.

They will schedule follow-up actions and enter relevant data into the CRM system, set clear objectives for each sales call or meeting, and tailor materials for presentations while asking relevant questions to gather essential information.

  • Grade 12 (Matric) is required as the minimum qualification level.
  • A valid driver's license and own vehicle are also necessary for this position.
  • FAIS Compliance at NQF Level 5 (FSCA Approved Qualification) is mandatory.
  • Candidates must undergo a clear criminal and credit check.
  • At least three years of working experience in sales, preferably, is expected.
  • Computer literacy, specifically in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Presentation skills are an added advantage for this role.
