Job Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Associate Research Fellow to contribute to a VicHealth funded project focused on developing a healthier, equitable, and more sustainable rural fruit and vegetable distribution system.
The successful candidate will be based at Deakin University's Melbourne Burwood Campus with hybrid work arrangements, conducting high-quality research, scholarship, and creative activities generating high-impact outputs.
The role involves fieldwork to the Loddon-Campaspe region, working within the School of Medicine. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing research projects to co-create a more sustainable food system.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the impact of academic activity on the field and community.
- Authenticating research findings through publications and presentations.
- Engaging in novel and high-quality research or creative activities.
- Communicating outputs, including as part of a team.
Key Qualifications:
- PhD in a relevant discipline such as agriculture, environmental science, or public health.
- Established research experience through publications.
- Able to contribute to communities through research.
- Capacity to contribute to teaching, research, and administration.
