Transformative Tech Leader

We're seeking a seasoned technology visionary to spearhead our backend engineering efforts. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll drive strategic technical decisions, foster innovation, and ensure the scalability and reliability of our platform.

You will be responsible for defining the long-term technical direction, promoting efficiency, and establishing excellence within the organization. Your expertise will serve as a guiding force for our engineering teams, empowering them to deliver high-quality solutions and practices.

To excel in this role, you'll need to possess a deep understanding of software development, with significant experience in leadership or principal positions. A strong track record of creating and executing multi-year technical visions, coupled with excellent communication and collaboration skills, is essential.

You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure, Platform Quality, Product, and Design, to ensure seamless integration and high-quality outcomes. Your ability to advocate for new technologies and practices, and to drive discussions on emerging trends, will be invaluable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define the long-term technical direction and vision for the engineering team.
  • Promote innovation, efficiency, and excellence within the organization.
  • Serve as a technical authority, providing guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure high-quality solutions and practices.
  • Drive discussions on new solutions, architectural choices, and emerging technologies.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of software development experience, including significant time in a leadership or principal role.
  • Deep SaaS experience across multiple domains or problem spaces.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to introduce new technologies or practices to a large engineering function.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills and have used these to have an outsized impact on a technical project.
