Senior Technical Director

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Senior Technical Director. In this role, you will lead and manage three teams within the Engineering Department:

  • Design Engineering – Responsible for designing new customer specifications (mechanical & electrical)
  • Technical – A technical escalation point throughout the business, overseeing product management, and providing technical sales engineering support to the Sales team
  • Optimisation & Innovation – Creating value and improving customer experience through the optimisation and innovation of our products and processes
Key Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Provide technical sales support and design engineering expertise
  • Ensure quality assurance, compliance, and risk management
  • Act as technical authority on all engineering matters
  • Lead product management initiatives
  • Deliver value through optimisation and innovation
  • Report progress and outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in a management role
  • At least 3 years of experience in a trade-orientated vocation
  • Responsibility for profit and loss (P&L)
  • Risk and change management skills
