Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled School Grounds and Facilities Manager to join our team. This is a 6-month fixed term, full-time position with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

The successful candidate will work to provide gardening, grounds, and facility management to ensure a safe and clean school environment. You will be responsible for maintaining and presenting the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean, and tidy condition.

You will also be required to:

  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance as requested;
  • Supervise tasks performed by junior staff members and provide advice and support to senior colleagues on school grounds maintenance;

To succeed in this role, you will need strong leadership skills, experience in maintaining grounds and gardens, and knowledge of gardening methods and procedures. You should be able to lead staff and create a clean, tidy, safe, and enjoyable outdoor environment for staff, students, and the community.

The ideal candidate will possess good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A valid Working With Children Check and Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with relevant work rights are essential.
