Science Teacher Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Science Teacher to deliver exceptional science education in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching engaging science lessons, planning and delivering high-quality lesson plans, monitoring pupil progress, and maintaining excellent classroom management standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach science lessons to students across various key stages, promoting a love of learning and academic excellence.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum, ensuring pupils meet their full potential.
  • Regularly assess and monitor pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed to drive student achievement.
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment through effective classroom management and behaviour strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
  • Pursue opportunities to engage with extracurricular science activities, enriching the educational experience for pupils.
Requirements:
  • Holding UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
  • A degree in a science-related subject, demonstrating a strong foundation in scientific principles and practices.
  • Proven experience teaching science in a secondary school setting, showcasing expertise and passion for the subject.
  • Demonstrating exceptional classroom management and lesson planning skills, driving student engagement and academic success.
  • A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply, highlighting commitment to safeguarding and protecting vulnerable groups.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for inspiring young learners, fostering a love of science and education.
