Secondary HSIE Teacher Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Secondary HSIE Teacher to join our team for the remainder of the year. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting academic excellence, nurturing creativity and curiosity, and fostering deep learning and engagement in students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote the school as a place of learning and excellence where creativity and curiosity are nurtured and students are connected with their world through deep learning and engagement
  • Differentiating learning for students according to their educational needs and abilities; create effective assessment practices and quality teaching programs
  • Work to promote a faith-filled educational experience in collaboration with the broader community
  • Apply contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles (including digital learning) and develop pedagogical practices that impact student learning outcomes
  • Work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers

Selection Criteria:

  • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and to actively support the Catholic ethos and culture of the school
  • Ability to plan and prepare contemporary and compliant teaching programs and assessments that meet diverse student needs and learning styles
  • Demonstrated ability to use assessment and school data to optimise educational outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with school staff and the wider community to achieve educational outcomes
  • Demonstrated innovative and agile mindset that supports continuous improvement

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualifications as a four-year trained teacher
  • Active NESA Accreditation
  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training
  • Completion of CPR training
