About This Role:
We are seeking a Senior Collection Manager, History & Technology to join our team at Museums Victoria. As the largest public museum organisation in Australia, we are dedicated to preserving the past and shaping the future.

Our museums include the Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks and the Royal Exhibition Building. We care for the state's scientific and cultural collections and every day brings new opportunities to inspire, challenge and educate.

About the Position:
This pivotal role is responsible for leading and implementing various collection management activities within the History & Technology Department. You will focus on enhancing collection access and preservation, managing digital assets and rights, and ensuring successful project delivery through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
* Lead projects to preserve and enhance access to social history and technology collections.
* Leverage expertise in collection management systems like KE EMu, MVWISE and digital asset tools.
* Plan and deliver projects using strong project management principles.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and foster a culture of growth and excellence within the team.

Requirements:
* Extensive experience in museum collection management and systems like KE EMu and MVWISE, and familiarity with digital asset management systems (DAMs) and digital archiving systems (MV Records).
* Proven ability to deliver complex projects aligned with organisational goals.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organisational, time management and communication abilities.
