Job Title: B1 LAME/AME - Fixed Term

This is a full-time fixed term role based out of Cairns, joining the Airborne Solutions Engineering team as a B1 AME and LAME, reporting to the Senior Base Engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the completion of assigned aircraft maintenance and modifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero-harm and incident/injury-free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position.
  • Perform the duties of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics, ensuring all aircraft maintenance is carried out in line with the Aircraft Maintenance manuals, MOE, procedures manuals, and responsible CAMO requirements.
  • Responsible for the general condition and upkeep of the hangar and workshop, ensuring compliance to the FRMS and WHSMSM policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the SBE/HoM, including personal tool control and equipment used in maintenance.
  • Report and defect found during maintenance to certifying engineer.
  • Carry out aircraft wiring and systems modifications as directed.
Requirements:
  • Australian Citizen.
  • Part 66 classic Dash 8 Rating (for LAME role).
  • Sound communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
  • Avionics modification experience.
  • Flexibility to travel at times.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering orders for modifications.
