Lead Health and Safety Executive

We seek a seasoned expert to spearhead our organisation's Health, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability (HSES) strategy.

This key role will shape our safety culture, ensure compliance, and drive sustainable business outcomes in a high-risk industry.

About the Role:
  • You will lead a team of 3–5 professionals to develop and implement HSES strategies.
  • You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners to embed robust HSE practices and maintain ISO45001 certification.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee national HSES strategies.
  • Coach and mentor leaders to strengthen HSE accountability and capability at all levels.
  • Conduct ICAM investigations for significant incidents and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Manage ISO45001 certification and maintain compliance with legislation and company systems.
  • Design and deliver HSE training programs for managers and staff.
  • Oversight of audits, inspections, and management reviews, ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Analyse safety data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support sales and marketing teams by embedding HSE into customer tenders and collateral.
  • Manage return-to-work programs and employee wellbeing initiatives.
  • Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify hazards, risks, and opportunities to continuously improve HSE performance.
