About This Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled legal professional to join our team as a Property, Leasing and Development Lawyer.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified lawyer with experience in property, commercial and contracting law to provide expert advice and support across leasing, property transactions, development and construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction law and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to stakeholders.

The role involves providing legal advice on leasing documents, managing stakeholder relationships and communications, and ensuring compliance with governance standards.

  • Providing expert legal advice on leasing documents, including retail and commercial leasing;
  • Ensuring compliance with leasing and governance standards;
  • Managing a leasing portfolio and maintaining stakeholder relationships and communications;
  • Providing legal advice on construction arrangements and assisting with property acquisitions and projects;
  • Participating in the implementation of legal technology tools in the property legal space;
  • Providing regular updates on the latest developments in property and leasing legislation;
  • Supporting legal reporting for leadership teams;
  • Developing relationships and collaborating with various business stakeholders;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 4+ years relevant post-admission experience in-house or in private practice;
  • A law degree from an Australian or international university;
  • A current relevant practising certificate in a state Supreme Court or the High Court of Australia;
  • Experience in providing property, commercial and contracting legal advice;
  • A working understanding of construction law;
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills;
  • Proven ability to take the initiative and confidently manage allocated matters;
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to provide pragmatic legal advice;
