The Opportunity

As a Lead Product Designer, you will drive design quality, mentor other designers, and help set the direction of our product experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the business and report to the VP of Design and Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help shape the product vision and design strategy to align with user needs and business goals.
  • Lead design projects across multiple squads from research and discovery through to polished UI.
  • Drive high-quality, user-centred design through wireframes, prototypes, and visual design.
  • Guide research efforts to uncover user insights that inform product direction.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to prioritise and deliver features.
  • Champion consistent, accessible design across all touchpoints, including our design system.
  • Advocate for design excellence and best practices in your squad and across the product org.
  • Mentor and support other product designers, creating space for growth, feedback, and collaboration.
  • Act as a design voice in leadership conversations, both internally and externally when needed.
  • Lead by example: balancing craft, strategy, and empathy in everything you do.

What We're Looking For:

  • Deep experience designing intuitive products with real impact - ideally in education or SaaS.
  • A strong portfolio that showcases your ability to connect user needs with strategic design.
  • Excellent craft, with a sharp eye for interaction, accessibility, and visual design.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive, thoughtful approach and comfort working in ambiguity.
  • Experience mentoring designers and helping others do their best work.
  • Mastery of tools like Figma, and confidence with agile, collaborative teams.
  • A valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
