About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Civil Structures team in Newcastle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing deliverables, supervising junior engineers, and supporting the growth of our infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop concept solutions for Water, Transportation, and/or Energy infrastructure projects
  • Conduct inspections and assessments of existing structural assets
  • Deliver analysis and design solutions for Water, Transportation, and/or Energy infrastructure projects
  • Support construction-related activities and ensure compliance with Australian standards and client specifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Extensive experience in Water, Transportation, and/or Energy Infrastructure projects
  • Strong competency in project and commercial management
  • Mature engineering judgment and ability to identify constraints, opportunities, and buildability issues
  • Capability in planning and organizing tasks, people, project programs, and fee proposals
  • Ability to undertake/lead/oversee the development of structural analysis and design
  • Ability to prepare written design reports, technical specifications, and other technical documentation
  • A sound understanding of and capability with the application of relevant structural design methods, Australian standards, client specifications, and structural engineering software
