About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Casual Disability Support Worker to join our team at Crescent Respite in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. The successful candidate will provide care and assistance to clients across our SIL houses, ensuring continuity of service during the festive period.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide one-to-one support for people with complex needs, working collaboratively with other staff members and professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Support individuals with mental health and physical disabilities, promoting independence and empowerment through person-centred approaches.
  • To work closely with clients to understand their unique needs, developing tailored plans to address their goals and aspirations.
  • Active participation in the development and implementation of individualised plans, prioritising client-centred outcomes.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years' experience in disability support or a related field, preferably within the mental health sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supporting individuals with challenging behaviours, including manual handling, medications management, community access, and personal care.
  • Possession of relevant qualifications, such as Certificate III in Disability Support or similar, is highly regarded.
  • Valid Victorian Driver's License, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid Certificate, CPR, Manual Handling certificate, Medication Administration certificate, and Working with Children's Check are mandatory requirements.
