Job Title: Health and Safety Professional

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce. This includes implementing occupational health and safety strategies, systems, and initiatives that integrate safety as a core business value.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, with experience in coordinating health and safety systems, identifying hazards, assessing risks, and recommending appropriate safety controls. You will also be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of safety management systems, including the investigation and debrief of lost time injuries and critical incidents.

We are looking for a professional who is passionate about innovation and continuous improvement, and who is committed to economic, environmental, and social progress. If you have a Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety, or similar, and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate health and safety systems within the project
  • Identify hazards and assess risks
  • Recommend appropriate safety controls to the construction team
  • Provide advice on incident prevention and occupational health to management and employees
  • Ensure the effective implementation of safety management systems
  • Investigate and debrief lost time injuries and critical incidents


Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety, or similar
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a Civil/Rail Infrastructure project environment
  • Previous experience in incident investigation, ICAM experience highly desirable but not essential
