About the Role

The Tasmania Government is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to fill the position of Alcohol and Drug Counsellor - Graduate. This is a fixed-term, full-time role working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 2 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality alcohol and other drug treatment services in accordance with relevant Government Legislation and Regulations, Primary Health Care Principles, and professional competencies.
  • Work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team to deliver a comprehensive treatment program.
  • Focus on ongoing professional and career development to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of addiction services.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work approved by the relevant professional bodies.
  • Current Working with Children Registration.
  • Desirable: Current Driver's Licence.
