Job OverviewAs a Visiting Medical Officer (Anaesthesia), you will be part of a multidisciplinary team working together to provide exceptional patient care and drive improved health outcomes for the community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality clinical anaesthesia services to patients requiring advanced pain management and other hospital care.
- Contribute to the professional development of senior and junior medical staff through mentoring, training, and education.
- Supervise and teach rotational provisional fellows, registrars, and JMOs in the department to ensure a smooth transition of knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with the Director of Anaesthesia to enhance service delivery, streamline patient management processes, and promote evidence-based practice.
- A primary medical degree that is registrable by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Completion of Fellowship of the Australia & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
- Demonstrated expertise in efficient and effective patient management strategies.
- A commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in medicine, nursing, and allied health disciplines.
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- A commitment to ongoing quality improvement and personal/professional development.
