About the Role

As a key member of the engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that enhance functionality and user experience. Your primary focus will be on working closely with the team to create, launch, and refine new features.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and good coding practices & principles. Additionally, they should be familiar with modern infrastructure, tooling, and Linux environments. Experience with Docker, Postman, GitLab, and AWS is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, distributed systems
  • Work closely with the engineering team to create, launch, and refine new features
  • Take ownership of the services and code you develop, ensuring their long-term stability
  • Optimize and manage relational databases for performance and scalability
  • Implement and manage automated testing strategies to ensure software reliability

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 3-5 years of experience in backend software development with Node.js
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and good coding practices & principles
  • Familiarity with modern infrastructure, tooling, and Linux environments
  • Preferred experience with Docker, Postman, GitLab, and AWS
  • Experience in designing and building scalable, distributed systems
