Produce Department Manager

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our fresh produce department. This involves ensuring that the store is exceptionally presented, welcoming, and engaging for customers, team members, and the local community.

About the role

As a Produce Department Manager, you will be accountable for leading a team to meet sales targets, cost control, and rostering requirements.

About you and your skills
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Direct leadership experience with a focus on developing your team's skills and abilities
  • Ability to maintain excellent department standards including stock management, rotation routines, waste reduction, and quality control
  • Capacity to drive a one-team culture that celebrates success and prioritizes team members' health, safety, and wellbeing
  • Ability to lead by example, motivate your team, and deliver results
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
