Job Opportunity

As a key member of our library team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the library's collection of materials.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders. You will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and improve the library's collections and services.

This is a vital role in supporting the library's mission to provide access to information and promote lifelong learning.

  • Develop and implement collection development policies and procedures
  • Select and acquire new materials for the library's collection
  • Evaluate and maintain the quality of existing materials
  • Collaborate with staff and external stakeholders to identify community information needs
  • Provide training and support to library staff on collection development and management
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Library Science or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in collection development and management
  • Strong knowledge of library collections and services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
