Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter and Grinder to join our dynamic team at Costco Wholesale. As a key member of our Meat Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cut, trim, tenderize, and grind meat using various equipment to meet customer demands.
  • Reassemble and maintain equipment for daily use, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment throughout the day, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
  • Assist with wrapping meat and seafood, stocking the meat case, and arranging the display case to create an appealing shopping experience.
  • Rotate merchandise and assess production needs to ensure timely restocking and optimal inventory levels.
  • Follow proper safety procedures and standards, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Maintain the sales area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Requirements:
  • High School Certificate or Trade Qualification in Butchery.
  • Trade Qualification in Butchery.
  • Butchery or comparable experience.
  • Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindications certificate.
