We are currently seeking Food Preparation and Service Assistants for our Berwick Home on a casual basis, working across morning and afternoon shifts.

About the Role:

  • Assist in preparing, presenting, serving, and cleaning up meals for our residents.
  • Embody a strong commitment to customer service and food safety.
  • Play a vital role in ensuring a safe working environment and promoting a positive outlook on the wellbeing of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and record requirements of the Food Safety Program.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe working environment to ensure the safety of our residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Clean the kitchen according to defined cleaning standards.
  • Understand residents' special dietary requirements.

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in a medium to large kitchen setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts.
  • Previous experience in hospitality 'back of house' or kitchen operations.
  • Solid knowledge of Food Safety Standards.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current NDIS check clearance (or willingness to obtain).
  • Proof of Work rights in Australia.
  • Proof of COVID Vaccination certificate (2 doses + booster dose).
  • Proof of Flu vaccination (current year).
