Food Services Assistant Role Overview

The role of a Food Services Assistant is a critical position within our residential aged care home. This team member will be responsible for assisting the Cook/Chef with food preparation and hospitality services in a dynamic environment.

In this role, you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to strict health and safety guidelines. You will work closely with the Cook/Chef to develop menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements, including cultural and religious preferences.

To succeed in this position, you will require excellent teamwork and communication skills, as well as empathy and compassion for our residents. Desirable qualifications include a Trade Certificate in Cookery or similar qualification, and an understanding of Aged Care Standards and Food Safety practices.
