Job Profile: Payroll Professional

This position is suitable for a diligent and skilled payroll expert who can create excellent employee experiences.

About the Role:

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Examining and processing employee pay, deductions, and entitlements accurately.
  • Resolving payroll-related issues/queries, providing sound advice to employees regarding EA's industrial instruments, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintaining and updating payroll systems with employee data changes, focusing on precision and consistency.
  • Ensuring payroll processes comply with relevant laws and regulations, including preparation and submission of statutory reports.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline payroll processing, ensuring payroll systems are up-to-date and functional.

About You:

  • Significant experience in end-to-end payroll processing, preferably gained in medium-sized, multi-site organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and awards.
  • Experience managing pay cycles associated with multiple industrial instruments, including administering and interpreting complex Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs).
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, with confidence working across complex data sets and spreadsheets.
  • A high level of attention to detail and ability to maintain this under pressure or impending deadlines.
  • Strong ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
