Job Description

As a Residence Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring students have access to safe and comfortable accommodation. Your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored advice and guidance to help students secure residence that meets their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct one-on-one consultations with students to discuss their residence requirements and develop personalized plans to assist them in securing suitable accommodation.
  • Collaborate with other support services within the university to identify potential crisis situations and arrange temporary residence solutions when necessary.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external residence providers to research and track available options for students.
  • Document all interactions with students, including notes on their progress and any concerns raised.
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for enhancing the student experience and creating an inclusive community.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to effectively engage with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working in residence or a related field is highly desirable.
Work Requirements:
  • Must have current work rights in Australia matching the tenure of the role.
  • Occasional travel to regional areas may be required.
  • Ability to work outside of normal office hours when necessary, including during limited service periods.
