This leadership role combines data analysis with strategic thinking skills to produce high-quality policy advice.
The Policy Analyst and Advisor provides high-level strategic and policy advice on statutory responsibilities to identify and address issues affecting vulnerable children.
Key duties include:
- Analysing policy, programs, and services data to determine the impact on vulnerable children.
- Undertaking research and analysis to inform the development of sound child-centred policy advice.
This role allows you to provide support and strategic advice to senior executives and contribute to evidence-based submissions, reports, and communications to influence policy reforms.
To be successful, you require a demonstrated track record of leadership in policy and data analysis in the social welfare sector, strong strategic thinking and relationship management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Prior Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in policy and data analysis is required. Proven track record of developing and implementing effective policy solutions is necessary.
Skill Requirements: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
